Barely a week after it was reported that singer, Niniola was robbed in South Africa; producer, GospelOnTheBeat, has revealed that he was robbed in the same country.
GospelOnTheBeat recently shared a video on his Instagram page, which captures him sharing his ordeal in South Africa. The popular music producer said in the video that he was robbed of 7000 Rands (over 200, 000 Naira) in his hotel room and the management of the hotel refused o release the CCTV footage to help uncover the circumstances surrounding the robbery.
In the video, he expressed his disappointment that the case was poorly managed by the hotel management but he however hinted that he would make a big deal out of it because he did not want to cause a situation whereby the case would be used as a reference for the perceived ’cause-trouble’ behavior associated with Nigerians.
It would have been interesting to share the name of the hotel where the incident happened, like it is usually seen in acts like this, where an individual or brand is called out for a misdeed. Although the public did not get a name of the hotel, which would have been useful in preventing the occurrence of similar act in future, it is advised that people should be watchful of their movement and take extra caution in protecting their belongings, especially in unfamiliar places.
